SUPERSTAR STREET STYLE: K-Pop Edition

The rise of Hallyu, which translates to ‘The Korean Wave’, has taken the world by storm. K-pop stars have managed to become icons, not only in music, but also in the fashion world. Their high-end fashion and distinct style has swiftly caught the attention of top designers. Blackpink’s Jisoo is an ambassador for Dior, while her bandmate, Lisa, is also a global ambassador for Celine. Jennie, another member of Blackpink, is even an ambassador for Chanel, being dubbed as “Human Chanel”.
BTS, a popular boy band, has recently signed on to be ambassadors for Louis Vuitton. Before the era of Blackpink and BTS, members of BIG BANG, such as G-Dragon, were some of the earlier, highly influential K-pop stars. 1. Jennie (Blackpink)
Jennie has become a muse to many, but it makes complete sense that she is an official ambassador for Chanel with many of her most iconic outfits consisting of a tweed ensemble. The maisons tweed fabric has become a staple in her wardrobe, with the pop star sprucing it up with a variety of cuts and accessories. To match, Jennie typically carries around an impressive collection of Chanel bags from a baby blue Gabrielle Hobo bag to a black Vanity case. From time to time, you’ll also spot her with several other bags from Loewe.

2. G-Dragon (BIG BANG)
Years before K-pop took over, G-Dragon was already stealing the show. Known as an experimental and pioneering fashion icon, the singer was the first Asian male to be dubbed a Chanel ambassador due to his captivating style over the years. Constantly changing his style up, the singer is known for accessorizing, whether in the form of large hats, neon colored hair or even a Chanel brooch - you’ll never know what’s coming next!

3. Lisa (Blackpink)
Lisa has mastered the mix of style and comfort. At the recent Celine runway show, she sported a head to toe look by the designer. The chic look paired a shimmery halter top and a black pair of shorts to steal the show, while remaining extremely comfortable. On a normal day, the popstar is also known for always baring a wide-line pair of jeans with statement pieces and, of course, a celine bag.

4. BTS

The seven members of BTS have all signed on to be ambassadors of Louis Vuitton. For years, they avoided committing to a fashion house. Each member displays their individual style in their own way, whether it be a drizzle of color or a unique pair of shoes, but they always manage to coordinate their outfits in one way or the other.

Jisoo is known for her mix of preppy and edgy outfit combinations! From trendy leopard print prints to the school girl aesthetic, she never fails to make your jaw drop. Her recent Paris Fashion week look showcased a pop of colour, with her blond tips and yellow plaid dress. Of course, the singer paired her look with an all-black mini Cannage Lady Dior bag.
