3 Key Spring Trends Off Jacquemus’ SS23 Runway

by Central HULA on Mar 04, 2023

With mask restrictions lifting and events popping up in time for the warmer weather, what better way to celebrate the beginning of spring than to incorporate the freshest trends into your wardrobe?

This week, we take a look back at Jacquemus' Spring/Summer 2023 “Le Raphia” showcase. Featuring glittering knitwear, artisanal beading, and mesh clothing with tassels, the new collection effortlessly transforms from day-to-night and juxtaposed playful details with traditional crafts. Here are the three major trends we spotted from the show and how you can get in on the fun!

1. Fringes

Amidst a storm of dried raffia as the models sashayed down the runway in matching flowy fringe garments, almost resembling the designer's French roots growing up on a small farm and embarking a new era of Jacquemus. The springtime is definitely the right time to add that chic, fun touch to any outfit.

2. Metallic Silver

Many of our favourite designers brought glitz and glamour to their Spring/Summer shows this year. Jacquemus’ silver-coated jeans definitely have made a standout appearance on the runway.

Try adding a bit of metallic to your look with an accent accessory or a crop top for that contemporary twist and the glamour that you could wear to the club and the other to brunch without feeling  overwhelming or unattainable.

3. Cut-out Dresses

Cut-outs have been a hot trend for a minute, and the recent runway shows have shown that it’s far from leaving! Cut-outs are a great way to add a bit of edge and daring to your look.
