Liberty Asia
HUMAN TRAFFICKING
Liberty Asia is a project under Share (Asia Pacific) Limited, a Hong Kong registered charity, that aims to prevent human trafficking through legal advocacy, technological interventions, and strategic collaborations with NGOs, corporations, and financial institutions. Despite the large number of organisations fighting slavery and human trafficking in Asia, there is a lack of collaborative resources available for organisations working in the field of anti-trafficking and anti-slavery and many work alone with little support.
To provide a more effective, collective, systemic response to slavery, Liberty Asia is facilitating the sharing of information, expertise and data with strategic partners through online platforms & intelligence on slavery activities with the corporate community, championing legal reform, improving the understanding of victim identification and protection, and developing slavery education & awareness programs to enact change in all sectors of society.

Food Angel
THE UNDERPRIVILEGED & THE ELDERLY
Food Angel is a food rescue and food
assistance program launched in 2011 by Bo Charity Foundation with the mission
of "Waste not, hunger not."
The program rescues edible surplus
food from different sectors of the food industry that would otherwise be
disposed of as waste. Following strict safety protocols, the rescued food
items will then be prepared as nutritious hot meals in their central kitchen and
be redistributed to serve the underprivileged communities in Hong
Kong.
It is estimated that 3,600 tons of
food waste is dumped into the landfills every day and approximately one third
of them comes from the food industry. Food Angel rescues an average
of 4,000 kg of surplus food daily from the landfills.
Since March 2011, Food Angel has
provided 1,922,189 meals and saved 1,505,480 kg of surplus food from going to
the landfills.

Habitat for Humanity
THE UNDERPRIVILEGED & DISASTER AFFECTED
Habitat for Humanity's vision is a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Anchored by the conviction that housing provides a path out of poverty, they advocate to improve access to decent and affordable shelter, and strive to help families in disaster-prone areas through home building, rehabilitation and repairs. They believe a safe, secure and decent home opens the door to improved health, better performance in school, greater economic opportunities, women empowerment, and increased community cohesion.
As a nonprofit Christian housing organization, Habitat works in more than 70 countries and welcomes people of all races, religions and nationalities to partner in its mission. Since 1976 Habitat has helped more than 5 million people through house construction projects.

Redress
ENVIRONMENTAL & EDUCATIONAL
Founded by Christina
Dean, Redress is an environmental charity working to promote sustainability in
the fashion industry.
Fast
fashion has allowed consumers to buy more and more clothes, many of which are
poor quality and are rapidly disposed of. Today, we buy 400% more
clothes than we did two decades ago and recent estimates suggest that 150
billion new garments are produced every year. The fashion and textile industry is now the
world's second most polluting industry, after oil, and the second biggest
polluter of fresh water. Clothes deplete natural resources and contribute to toxic
pollution of air, water and land. Meanwhile, millions of
items of clothing unnecessarily hit landfills around the world. In China, the
world's biggest clothing factory, 26 million tonnes of industry and consumer
textile waste are generated per year; and Hong Kong's landfills receive
approximately 106,945 tones of textiles per year.
To drive solutions, charity
Redress works with the industry to provide educational sustainable fashion
design competitions, exhibitions and seminars.
Watch out for their upcoming Sustainable Fashion book launch!
