Entering Autumn, it’s time to switch out your short-sleeves for something more luxe and weighty, from tailored pants to oxford shoes, we got you covered! Read on for a series of minimalistic chic workwear that we have curated for your 9-to-5 wardrobe.
TOPS: SHIRTS, VESTS AND TURTLENECKS
Asides from regular shirts, why not try to add some fine knits to your workwear wardrobe? The winter trend is all about turtlenecks to layer with all types of blazers, gilet and dresses. Tuck it in your high waisted or wide-legged trousers, and you’re instantly ready to rock the boardroom in style.
Besides from the basic black and white tones, dial up the softness by switching the colours up. This Celine turtleneck has a contrast scarlet red and camel tone, perfect for a retro-androgenous feel. For something more delicate, try our lettuce hem cream coloured knit by Celine*.
These Christopher* fitted fine knits that we have discovered come in all different styles of necklines; from V to round to roll-neck and are the perfect staples for layering and because they are bodysuits, you don’t have to constantly check whether you have come untucked. Rather than constantly worrying about your messy waistline, you can now feel secure that your body shape is as streamlined as that presentation you are about to show.
Tank tops are also one of our fav’s for this autumn/winter work attire – another layering essential. Try them with crisp long-sleeved shirt for the ultimate preppy look. Here, we’ve paired a Gucci black v-neck vest with a Thom Browne Shirt with a built-in tie feature. On the right, we have paired the same vest with a Celine knee-length shirt for a cleaner look.
You can’t go wrong with tailored pants in any workplace and when it comes to pants, HULA offers a range of styles. From a cinched waist, paper-bag high waisted to a pleated front or a wide leg, find a silhouette that works well with your body shape.
Get out of your black-pant comfort zone by exploring different colours and textures. Switch up your usual colour palette by wearing these camel-coloured straight-legged pants. If you’re feeling brave, why not try the Hugo Boss metallic trousers or a pair of navy flared satin trousers?
Power-up your look by wearing the ultimate shape of blazer. This particular belted blazer is by Sacai and helps to cinch the waistline – so why not try belting your jackets at home to give it another look?
Trench coats are a timeless staple, and this Facetasm sleeveless trench is no exception. Wear it with a black turtleneck and a pleated maxi dress, don’t forget to complete it with some equally kick-ass booties. If you’re looking for something more tame and sophisticated, why not try this Hermès rust-coloured leather coat with a silky off white shirt and some off white pants to compliment the luxuriousness of the coat.
From high heels to leather slippers, be creative with your choice of footwear. Our Salvatore Ferragamo slippers are perfectly comfy but still looks polished. If you fancy a pop of colour to energise your look, try these Celine soft ballerina in red. Black high heels are of course a must-have in most women’s 9-to-5 wardrobe, while HULA houses plenty of them, we are especially liking these black heels by Maison Margiela. For an edgy preppy look, check out our studded leather oxford’s.
