Although this summer won’t be memorable in terms of travelling, music festivals and big parties the one thing we can recommend, to guarantee happiness and good memories, is to look fab no matter the circumstance. We have put together some of our fave trends from the Spring Summer 2020 runways. From extravagant blinding neons and split prints to more subtle staples such button downs and floaty white dresses, there is something for everyone! Read on to see what we have in store so you too can be on-trend this season.

This summer make sure you have some neon items in your closet to brighten up your life. On the runways this season we saw an array of different colour blocking neon looks from Moschino to Valentino, everyone was heavily invested in exhibiting this exuberant (and fabulously obnoxious) trend. When someone asks you this seasons colour trend- tell them it is all of them!

Christian Lacroix Saint Laurent Roksanda Ilincic

A staple EVERY summer. If you haven’t already invested in multiple floaty whites you are seriously missing out. These staples were heavily displayed this season and luckily for you at Hula we have a huge array suitable for all shapes and sizes. These dresses will become your new best friend helping you battle the incoming heat and humidity. If you have young kids and/or a large glass of red wine in hand we recommend opting for another colour…

If you are feeling the need to shift away from your comfort zone, a cut-out is a great place to start. Not only does this simple yet cool trend allow you to look endlessly edgy it also will let some air get to your mid-drift great for that summer heat. Cut-outs can be positioned anywhere on a garment and as subtle or as obvious as you’re comfortable with meaning there’s something for everyone!

If you haven’t already come across Versace’s show stopper closing look featuring J-Lo, you’re welcome. Tropical prints are a must this season and since we can’t go on holiday why not dress like we are a holiday! A new take on summer florals the tropical trend is taking the fashion world by storm.

Naked seems to be a reoccurring theme in the fashion world, encouraging us to reveal yet conceal at the same time forcing us into a game no one signed up for. Nonetheless, undergarments, sheer shirts and sheer dresses are all the rage yet again. On the plus side the less fabric the better when its 35 degrees outside! If you have the confidence why not try out this daring look.

Comme Des Garçons Isabel Marant  Lagerfeld Gallery
Gucci Temperely London Barbara Bui

Sacai Jean Paul Gaultier Rick Owens

This trend epitomises modern minimalism giving that effortless sophistication we all desire. We were seeing anything from a simple pressed white button down shirt to a more bold colours and patterns. This timeless piece isn’t limited to one style- why not try out a shirt dress if you have already mastered the basics?
